This book will cover novel and updated studies and facilities about the use of different biosensors for analysis of viral infections. It aims to provide fundamental knowledge on biosensors, including but not limited to biosensors types, preparation methods, properties and characterization techniques, along with the state-of-art technological developments that incorporate with other platforms such ad microfluidic systems, lab-on-a-chip-tools, and molecular imprinting techniques. It will cover brief theory of biosensors for each chapters, importance of these biosensors especially for viral infections, and latest applications in different viruses. This book also will cover the integration of these biosensors with current top-notch tools and platforms in order to ultimately facilitate their potential applications in the realms of medicine.
Chapter 1: Viruses and importance of virus detection
